Maybe it's because for the first time in years i'm not pregnant or carrying a child in a baby carrier (although on occasion Rome has to climb in the backpack for old times sake). Grace is on a tooth losing streak and saves every penny for little glass animals from the toy store (although she's been eying the drumsticks at the pool a lot lately).
Faith has been eager to do everything Grace does. She keeps up pretty well and often passes Grace up in an effort to "be the best".
We'll have to find a way to channel that competitive spirit! :) Hope continues to shock and amuse us with her funny ways.
I've always said that girl has a royalty complex, but lately she's changing into a sweet little girl. I have to admit, I miss some of her "airs". Roman is talking talking talking! I love it! To finally hear what's been going on in that over-sized head of his is entertaining to say the least. He's also our typical boy, covered in mud and scrapes and bruises most of the time!
Titus and I are enjoying every moment with our little treasures! Every day they are getting bigger and bigger...and so are the blessings!
This spring has included several visits to family in Wichita and of course everyone's favorite place, Kansas City, graduations, weddings and birthday's always swamp the month of May. We spend a lot of time keeping up the animals. Murdock our dog runs away every other day, it seems...good thing we don't live in town! The chickens are outside after a month of chirping chicks all night long! They are still waiting for me to build them a proper home! :) The guinea pigs, Rhino and Shere Khan, are getting along again, now that they have a bigger home (although i'm not loving all the space it takes up!).
We're looking forward to a fun summer, and at least one trip to Turkey Hill (the kids think it's heaven's playground). :) We also have a few home improvement projects to try and get done before fall. We'll see how much gets done!
All that said, we're grateful to God for a safe home, good job, a wonderful family and four great children! We hope you all have a great summer...and now i need to go attack the afternoon! :)
